Why Willowdale?
As you visit churches, you may wonder, what makes
one church different from another?
There are a number
of churches in the Greater Toronto Area and we are supportive
of any that preach Jesus Christ as Lord and that are based
upon the Bible. We are not competing with other churches; we
are partnering with them to reach our city for Christ!
But why choose Willowdale as your home church? Here are some
reasons we think Willowdale could be a great church for you and
your family.
- We offer programs to
help your whole family grow. We are committed to the spiritual
development of your entire family – children,
teens, and adults! Whether you are a seeker, a new Christian,
or a mature believer, there is always room for spiritual growth
and we offer a variety of classes and ministries to assist
you share God’s love, receive instruction from the Bible,
build friendships, and reach out to others.
- We preach God’s Word, the Bible, as the final authority
for life and conduct. We believe that faith and obedience to
His Word produces supernatural results in our lives, so it’s
the basis for all we preach and teach.
- We are a Spirit-filled
church. Just as the early Christian church experienced the
power of the Holy Spirit, we believe that the ministry and
gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available to the church
today. The Spirit filled life is demonstrated in a Christian’s life in various ways including – integrity,
character, and the fruit of the Spirit; as well as through
heartfelt praise and worship, praying in the Spirit, and openness
to all the gifts of the Spirit. We believe the Bible teaches
that the ministry and gifts of the Spirit should be demonstrated
in decency and order so as to profit and bless everyone.
- We are committed to providing
opportunities for you to serve God. Whether God has put it
on your heart to serve within the church walls or outside the
church walls, we make every effort to help you find a place
of service. At the end of our lives, all of us want to hear
Jesus say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant…”
